Firefighter

The City of Abbeville Fire Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time firefighter.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • IFSAC Firefighter I certification
  • First Responder certification preferred
  • NIMS/ICS
  • EVDT and Pumper Operations I certification preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid SC Class D Driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must pass a thorough background investigation, pre-employment drug screen and physical examination

Position hours: 12 hours shifts

Salary: $27,731 - $29,411 dependent upon experience and qualifications

Part-Time Recreation Facilitator

The City of Abbeville is seeking a Recreation Facilitator/Custodian. Responsibilities to include working evening sporting events as well as facilitating activities at the civic center. This position reports to the Parks and Recreation Director.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid SC driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must pass a thorough background investigation, pre-employment drug screen and physical examination

Police Officer

The City of Abbeville is accepting applications for a full-time police officer.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have no criminal record
  • Valid SC Class D Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Must pass a thorough background investigation, pre-employment drug screen and physical examination
  • SC Class 1 LE certification preferred, but not required
  • Pay Range: $28,731 - $33,283 according to experience
